O2 UK indroduces a credit card payment via smartphones
O2 UK with Visa Europe and Global Payments has announced a new service that allows merchants to accept credit and debit card payments using mobile technology.
Additional chip and PIN calculator will be added to your mobile phone or tablet via Bluetooth. Freeware application Emerit on mobile or tablet client manages payment card transactions, and then sends the customer a receipt by e-mail or SMS, if this option is enabled.
At this point, the application is available on Android and BlackBerry phones, support for IOS version will appear soon.
