Zimbabwean mobile telecoms revenue down 14% in Q1
07.09.2015 - Zimbabwe's mobile operators are reporting a loss in revenue of 14% in the first quarter of 2015. Some of this is accounted for by the fall in tariff prices. However, some is attributable to customers using alternative services. For instance, SMS use has failed in favour of Whatsapp. Revenues in internet based services grew whilst SMS and telephone revenues fell, suggesting this is likely the case.
