The Basic Model: Pay Per SMS, Per Country

Multi-Part SMS: The Hidden Multiplier

A standard SMS contains 160 characters in the GSM-7 character set. If your message is longer, it becomes a multi-part (concatenated) SMS:

An OTP message of “Your code is 847392 ✅” — that single checkmark emoji makes it Unicode, drops the limit to 70 chars, and if the text with emoji is 30 chars you still pay 1× — but if you had a longer message with an emoji, you’d pay 2× at 71 chars instead of 2× at 161 chars.
